CIQUAL are pleased to announce that Andrew Sturgess was appointed Chairman of Ciqual in July 2010 .

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant having joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in London where he qualified spending 5 years there before transferring to South Africa and the Johannesburg office, returning to the UK in 1985.

Based in Glasgow, Andrew spent the past 23 years as Partner before retiring from PwC at the end of December 2009. He has worked with a broad range of businesses both in the UK and overseas.

His breadth of experience includes working with globally managed, internationally diverse companies and also growing Scottish based companies.

He has particular experience in Stock Exchange reporting, including merger and acquisition transactions and due diligence reporting.

Andrew was Chairman of the Institute of Directors Scotland for 3 years from January 2005 to December 2007. He is currently a Lay member of the Court at Stirling University and runs a farming business in South West Scotland.
